Courses in the language and culture of origin

In the Italian Consulate District of Basel (Canton Baselland, Basel-Stadt, Solothurn, Jura and Aargau) ECAP conducts courses in the local language and culture (HSK).

The HSK courses are offered in cooperation with the school department of the Italian consulate, are co-financed by the Italian Foreign Ministry and take place in the local schools. The courses for the school year 2022/2023 are included in the project «Italian language and culture courses in Northwest Switzerland» approved by MAECI. They make a significant contribution to the education and integration of second-, third- and fourth-generation youths. Parallel to compulsory schooling, students have the opportunity to learn their native language and gain access to one of the world's largest cultural heritage sites. At the end of the courses, you can prepare for the examinations of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia in order to obtain CELI language certificates.

«Eccoci!!!» the magazine of the Italian Language and Culture courses

When Italian language and culture become an expression of the creativity and imagination of our students, the result is extraordinary and precious. After a two-year suspension due to the pandemic, the LICIT magazine «Eccoci!!!», written by the students of the primary level of the ECAP language and culture courses, is back again.

«Eccoci!!!» (Here we go!!!) is a project in which all teachers and students participate. It aims to promote our language and culture in the Basel consular district by giving more visibility to the LICIT courses. The project also plays an important role in our teaching activities by stimulating the motivation of the students and their parents to continue their education.
