Literacy courses
Our literacy courses are designed for primary, secondary and functional illiterates as well as for second language learners. The modular structure of these courses, which take place three times a week, is sufficiently flexible to accommodate the different learning paces within the very heterogeneous target group. Through the four course levels Alpha 1 to Alpha 4, participants develop and expand their phonological awareness and build their knowledge from the sound-letter level through the word and sentence level to text comprehension. The development of oral language skills, especially pronunciation and idioms, plays just as important a role as reading and writing.
