AVANTI! School offer for teenagers and young adults between 17 and 25 years old
The aim of the educational offer is to prepare adolescents and young adults for entry into the regular upper secondary level, vocational preparation year or pre-apprenticeship integration, by building, developing and consolidating their skills in the following subject areas according to Curriculum 21: language - general culture - mathematics - media and computer science.
Vocational guidance, laboratory, guided learning with self-study phases and creative activities such as music, artistic or manual activities are an integral part of the programme and are particularly important for the personal development of the student. Core themes are defined on the basis of group and individual needs.
The course lasts one year and is divided into two consecutive semesters:
- 1st semester: August - January / Week 34 - 04
- 2nd semester: February - July / Week 05 - 27
There are 40 weeks of courses per year with 28 lessons per week.

Skills4Züri: a full-time programme for unaccompanied minors
The programme is aimed at unaccompanied minors who apply for asylum in Switzerland and are no longer of school age. They have no or only rudimentary knowledge of the Latin alphabet and little or no knowledge of German. The educational programme lays the foundation for the social, educational and professional integration of young people. Participants prepare for a transfer to an IAZH educational programme.
Literacy, German, mathematics, ICT, general education, health prevention, workshop teaching as well as cultural and sporting activities are an integral part of the programme and particularly important learning vessels for the personal development of the students.
Each year, the course takes place for 45 weeks of 40 hours each.
